Modern Slavery Act Transparency Statement 2025
Best in Jobs Limited (“Best in Jobs”) operates within the recruitment sector, providing permanent and temporary staffing solutions across the UK and internationally.
Our recruitment services cater to various industries, including professional services, healthcare, technical and engineering, construction trades, IT, Finance, and hospitality.
Best in Jobs is firmly committed to ensuring transparency in all its operations and adopting a proactive approach to addressing and preventing modern slavery throughout its business and supply chains.
1. Our Policies
At Best in Jobs, we uphold a zero-tolerance policy toward modern slavery. We are dedicated to conducting business ethically, maintaining integrity in all relationships, and implementing effective systems and controls to prevent any occurrence of modern slavery or human trafficking.
Our Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy applies to all individuals working for or on behalf of Best in Jobs, including employees at all levels, directors, contractors, agency workers, and business partners. A copy of the policy is available upon request.
Additionally, we have several key policies guiding the conduct of our employees and business dealings:
Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy
Diversity and Equal Opportunities Policy
Ethical Policy
Whistleblowing Policy
Code of Conduct for Employees
Our board of directors holds ultimate responsibility for ensuring these policies meet legal and ethical standards and that all staff adhere to them.
2. Due Diligence and Risk Management
Best in Jobs has conducted a risk assessment and identified particular vulnerabilities within its Industrial & Logistics divisions. As a holder of a Gangmasters & Labour Abuse Authority (GLAA) Licence (SEAR 0001), Best in Jobs complies with the GLAA’s licensing standards, including a Fit and Proper test and measures to prevent forced labour and mistreatment of workers.
We hold our contractors, suppliers, and business partners to the same high standards. All supplier contracts explicitly prohibit forced, compulsory, or trafficked labour, and we expect suppliers to enforce similar standards with their own partners.
As part of our due diligence, Best in Jobs takes the following steps:
Verifying applicants’ identities and rights to work, ensuring all workers are at least 18 years old.
Quarterly checks to identify and address unexplained duplication of addresses or bank account details among workers, which could indicate modern slavery.
Preventing, detecting, and reporting any signs of modern slavery is the shared responsibility of all individuals working for or with us. Employees and partners are encouraged to report concerns in good faith, with assurances of protection from any detrimental treatment for doing so.
3. Training and Awareness
All new employees receive training on modern slavery as part of their induction process, with annual refresher courses mandatory for all staff. Additional support and guidance are provided where necessary to deepen understanding of the issue and its implications.
4. Commitment and Oversight
Management at all levels is accountable for ensuring their teams understand and comply with the policy, remain aware of modern slavery risks, and receive guidance as needed.
This statement has been approved by the board of directors and is issued in respect of the 2025 financial year.
