Finance Manager & Health
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee financial planning, accounting, reporting, and compliance for our healthcare business. The ideal candidate will have strong financial expertise, excellent analytical skills, and an understanding of the unique financial requirements of the healthcare sector.
You will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy, improve business performance, manage risks, and support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day finance and accounting operations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and management dashboards.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow planning, and variance analysis.
- Monitor revenue, expenses, receivables, payables, and working capital.
- Ensure accurate and timely bookkeeping and financial reconciliations.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Develop financial models and provide insights to support business decisions.
- Monitor healthcare-related revenue streams, billing, collections, and reimbursements, where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and other external stakeholders.
- Establish and strengthen financial controls and processes.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency.
- Track financial performance against budgets and business targets.
- Support management with financial analysis for new initiatives, investments, and expansion plans.
- Manage and mentor finance team members.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of sensitive financial information.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
- CA / CMA / MBA Finance or equivalent qualification is preferred.
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting.
- Prior experience in healthcare, hospitals, health-tech, pharma, or a related industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and taxation.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with leadership and other departments.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with healthcare billing, insurance/TPA processes, claims, or reimbursements.
- Knowledge of healthcare-specific financial metrics and KPIs.
- Experience implementing or improving finance processes and internal controls.
- Strong financial modelling and business analysis skills.
- Familiarity with accounting/ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Tally, Zoho Books, or similar.
