Job Requirements:
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Assistant Café Manager to support the daily operations of the café, help lead a small team, and contribute to creating memorable customer experiences. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys both hospitality and games, and is looking to grow within a fun and unique concept.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Café Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations
- Lead shifts, supervise staff, and ensure smooth service
- Deliver outstanding customer service and foster a warm, engaging environment
- Manage stock levels, orders, and supplier relationships
- Help organise and promote in-café events (e.g. board game nights, tournaments)
- Maintain cleanliness, health & safety, and food hygiene standards
- Train and support junior team members
- Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally
Requirements:
- Prefer 1–2 years of experience in a café, hospitality, or customer-facing environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Passion for customer service and community building
- Interest in board games (no need to be an expert—just enthusiastic!)
- Ability to work weekends and evenings as needed
- Fluent in English
